The Roman legion soldier stands looking to the horizon of a scarred battlefield. He is wearing some of the soldier's regalia.
Atop of his head he wears a galea, which is a soldier's hat. Down his back falls a paludamentum, which is a long cloak fastened over one shoulder, usually signifying the commander's status. Around his waist he wears a tunic which is customary for soldiers to have it a little above the knee. In his left hand he carries a spear used in offense. The bronze handmade sculpture was cast using the ancient method of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown patina finish for preservation.
